@dogwalkblog Always good to question facts – especially those that are presented with music, but

This is a response to @dogwalkblog ‘s post “Is social media a fad?

Each bubble a babble?

Let statistics be statitstics: I think there is no doubt that the way people having access to the internet interact with each other is changing dramatically. We are at the beginning of a process that will change our lives like the universal presence of clocks once did – establishing e.g. an appointed time for workers to show up. Or like the automobile did. (Provided the hardware issues are solved and will allow traffic to grow exponentially – which does not seem to be self evident.) And like with the car at the beginning of the last century or the establishment of a precise time for all we don’t know where the development might be leading and what it really means.

I think social media are different media – so different they perhaps should not even be called media. Those who think this is just one more outlet for a carefully crafted campaign fail. People are talking 1:1 – even dogs dogs do 😉 There are millions of circles of 2,5 – you name a number – people out here in a wide array of social “media”. I think we can consider that a fact.
