This is where I went to dwell on Weltschmerz

I went to this place as a kid very often when I was fed up with everything: family, school, the noisy town I was living in, the love affair that wasn’t happening – urrgh.

I used to sit here watching the water flow and thinking how shitty the rest of the world was. Weltschmerz. I had discovered the “Steppenwolf” by Hermann Hesse and this was a place where I could cultivate (what I at the time thought was) my wolf.

Which didn’t really help with the love affair that wasn’t happening.
