Good hand and evil hand

Looking at “Give Me Your Hand by Michelle “Shell” Rummel I remember how as a child I was taught to give the “good” hand as a greeting. I was a slow learner and ever so often stretched out my left – to the embarrassment of my parents.

Hey, give the good hand!” And their embarrassment became my embarrassment and so I started to hit the “evil” hand with the “good” one. And it took me decades to see that it is the dark side where the flowers grow. The unprotected side, that isn’t always “right”.
