One could add “for better or worse“.

Or say: “To love means to give up (some) identity.” But that might be the core of identity: to connect to something deeper than mere identity.

Like water connecting the stones to something deeper then they are.

So: to control anger seems to be an intelligent thing. To get a hold on it. To rationalize it. To cool it down.

To infuse some love.

Somewhat contradictory Immanuel Kant said: “There is nothing so unequivocally good in this world as a good will.”

I love how in the Shakespeare plays almost everybody is acting from a subjective point of good will: creating havoc.
